Release Summary

This Release Outline provides an overview of all updates that are included in the upcoming release. With this Outline, a new customer preview environment has been provided to you for you to access and review the new features. This environment can be accessed at https://comingsoon.4castplus.com. 

As with all our pre-release environments, please remember to refresh your browsers each time you log into the environment. Additionally, Custom Reports in the comingsoon environment are samples only. Please upload the templates from your Live System, for any Custom Reports that you wish to review.

Features & Enhancements


Performance, Usability and User Interface Updates

  • Added ability to attach an Outlook.net file to all Attach Documents features 
  • Increased the maximum length of the ‘Tag Number’ field from 50 to 100 characters.  
  • Update: Reports include users who added or updated the “Email” field in the Labor Information tab. 
  • Updated the profile icon drop-down menu—’Profile’ is now labeled as ‘Accounts’ 
  • Improved loading time of ‘Project Cost by Labor Resource’ dashboard report.

1. Company Profile

    • Update: Company Preference Workdays have migrated to the new Project Time Phasing Settings.

        • Defect fix re: When Custom Fields for Procurement dropdown values are edited in Configuration, then the SAVED values in RFQ/ Purchase Order/ Receipts will disappear.

  • Rate Types 
    • Added an alert to prevent the creation of a Composite Rate Type that is not hours-based.  
    • Defect fix re: When Composite Rates are set to Inactive, the rates should not be displayed. 
    • Defect fix re: A Composite Rate Types with no Cost or Billable Components should not be available in Timekeeper or My Timesheets.

 

5. Approval Workflows 

  • Defect fix re: When clicking Excel, the side menu will collapse, and the Report does not generate. 
 


Projects

 

1. Usability 

  • Improved performance of ‘Project Cost by Labor Resource’ dashboard chart. 
  • Updated the Duplicate Projects function to prevent data bust issues. 
  • Defect fix re: Most Recently Used project display is incorrect for users with Procurement Plus License Profile  
  • Defect fix re: When duplicating a project, the Crews are not copying. 
  • Update the Project Profile pop-up window to be wider. 
  • Optimize Project Dashboard > Project Hours By Resource Class chart.
 

2. Setup 

  • Enhancement: The Time-Phasing set up has been added to the Project Profile Workdays tab. 
  • Performance Update: Improved the Project Time Phasing Reporting 
  • Defect fix re: Duplicate does not copy Addresses 
  • Defect fix re: Billing Codes that are ‘multi-line’ type are not displayed 
  • Defect fix re: Duplicate does not copy Discounts and Surcharges. Defect fix re: The CBS Billing Codes – percent type should not multiply by 100 during the import.

 

3. Dashboard 

  • Defect fix re: Fully Committed Budget is not including Project Cost Tax when the option selection is “Include Overages and Adjustments from Line Items when All Receipts plus Overages and Adjustments exceed Purchase Order Commitment.”  
  • Defect fix re: When changing the Billing Type of a project is changed from Time and Material to Fixed Price, Unit Price, Cost Plus or Cost, the Billing Rate Table should be disassociated from the project.

4. WBS 

  • Updated label in WBS > Display permissions tab to ‘Allow Tracking of Resource Types in Timesheets’

  •  Progress Measurement Bar – Cut-Off Date View – The Progress Measurement Bar now functions as a Cut-Off Date View, offering a clearer snapshot of project status as of a specific date.
    • Visualize progress up to the selected cut-off date for more accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Zoom In/Out Functionality – Zoom controls have been added for improved chart navigation.
    • Hold the Shift key and scroll forward to zoom in, or scroll backward to zoom out.
    • Enables detailed analysis of specific time periods within the chart.
  • Period Chart – Change Date Intervals – You can now adjust the time interval displayed in the Period Chart.

Procurement

 

1. Dashboard 

  • Defect fix re: Dropdown field column filters in multiple Procurement grids are not working as expected. 

 

2. Requisitions 

  • Defect fix re: Expedite? Selection is not importing through the Requisition Import.

Jobsite Timesheet

1. Design, Controls and Usability 

  • Defect fix re: The Jobsite Daily Log (Percent field): should not be divided after the Jobsite Timesheet is submitted. 

2. Timesheet 

  • Defect fix re: column filtering does not work for dropdown fields. 
  • Updated the ‘Work Date’ column filter in Reports > Jobsite Timesheet to use Data Filtering for improved accuracy and usability.
  • Performance Optimization Jobsite Timesheet Submit for Approval.  
  • Updated Jobsite Timesheet import into Cost Workpackage if there is a Billable Comment the user will receive a warning that the comment will be ignored. 
  • Defect fix re: The close button is not working in Change Workpackage pop-up window.  
  • Defect fix re: When the Transmittal is rejected by the customer, it is not re-opened for the Jobsite user.  
  • Updated the data storage for Timesheets and Adjustments to include Employee ID. 
  • Defect fix re: Mandatory Labor Custom Field for Jobsite values are being validated.  
  • Defect fix re: When Labor Custom Fields are enabled for Jobsite, the Values are not displayed in Jobsite.
