Built for EIA-748 Change Control Compliance
On major projects where the EIA-748 compliance standards are required for how change orders are managed, 4castplus EVMS easily meets these requirements. Key to this compliance is that 4castplus enables project controls to establish change order stages for the incremental completion, visibility, impact and approval of a change order. Stages in 4castplus can be configured to meet the varying requirements of different organizations may have. Permissioned users can optionally override certain stages for cases where they’re not necessary. Ultimately, change orders can be routed through a multi-stage approval workflow before they are committed to the Current Budget. Until that time, they are visible in the Pending Budget as a Pending Change Order.
According to the Project Management Institute, “The EIA-748 standard for Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) includes guidelines for managing change orders, which typically involve several stages: initiation, evaluation, approval, implementation, and documentation. These stages ensure that changes are properly assessed for their impact on scope, schedule, and cost before being integrated into the project baseline.”
