Managing Change Orders: Essential for Effective Project Governance

On any major construction project there will inevitably be multiple changes to the project scope – or unforeseen events that occur – that cause a modification to the project’s budget and schedule.  The video below shows how change orders are managed in 4castplus, in addition to how changes to the budget can be estimated directly in 4castplus, or imported from external estimating tool or spreadsheet.  Change orders play a key role in the overall good governance of projects, and therefore play a critical role in the 4castplus software platform.  Changes can go through multiple states as they go through their full lifecycle of: initial change notice, to approved, to committed, to revised (potentially) and closed. 4castplus provides extensive reporting, visibility and tracking on change orders in multiple reports and dashboards throughout the system.
