IPD Software Solution for ANMRC
The team at 4castplus is excited to be a part of the solution for Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) and the construction phase of their Advanced Nuclear Materials Research Centre (ANMRC); which is scheduled to begin in 2022. According to CNL, “ANMRC will be one of the largest nuclear research facilities ever constructed in Canada, and will serve as the backbone of CNL’s research and development infrastructure.”

4castplus is working directly with the joint venture in an integrated project delivery – or IPD – model which includes Bird Construction, Chandos Construction and M. Sullivan & Son Construction (CBS JV). The validation phase of this project has now been completed, so the $500 million project can now proceed. 4castplus software is the construction project management, project controls and construction cost tracking platform used by all members of the JV to ensure careful cost management of the project. As an independent solution that works well for IPD projects, 4castplus delivers a centralized platform for all members to access critical real-time data, metrics, forecasts, and key tools for mega projects like ANMRC.
4castplus client, Bird Construction, has a 44% share of the joint venture. Teri McKibbon, President and CEO of Bird, says, “Bird is looking forward to the continued successful collaboration with CNL, and our other IPD partners and stakeholders, to construct this important world class facility,”
The ANMRC project is driven to support Canada’s sustainability and clean energy objectives by delivering research and services in a collaborative approach for developing new and repurposing existing nuclear energy facilities and technology safely, cleanly and reliably.
4castplus is proud to be a part of this clean energy solution.
